Windows Access Panel for Vista and Windows 7
Here’s a gem of a freeware app for Windows 7 and Vista users. It’s called Windows Access Panel and it helps you quickly find all the little applications that Windows likes to hise with each OS upgrade for no reason whatsoever. I’ve already pinned it to my Taskbar.
The application shortcuts you see in the image below from Life Rocks 2.0 are on the Basic Tab. All very touchscreen friendly. The Advanced tab also allows you to quickly access:
- Add a Device
- Change Monitor DPI
- Character Editor
- Character Map
- Create Repair Disc
- DirectX Diagnostics
- Driver Verifier Manager
- File Encryption Wizard
- IExpress Wizard
- Memory Diagnostics
- Mobility Center
- MS Support Diagnostic
- Network Shared Folder
- On Screen Keyboard
- Performance Monitor
- Problem Step Recorder
- Remote Assistance
- Resource Monitor
- Remote Connection
- Signature Verification
- Sound Recorder
- Synchronization Manager
- Task Scheduler
- Windows Fax and Scan
and on the Basic tab are:
- Bit Locker
- Check Disk
- Computer Management
- Disk Cleanup
- Disk Defragmenter
- Display Switch
- Ease of Access Center
- Event Viewer
- Group Policy Editor
- Management Console
- Migration Manager
- Phone Dialer
- Presentation Settings
- Registry Editor
- Security Policy
- System Backup
- Security Center
- Systen Configuration
- System Information
- System Restore
- UAC Settings
- Uninstall Programs
- Windows Activation
- Windows Firewall
